PTI failed to bring considerable investment in the province: Fed Minister
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Federal Minister Amir Muqam said that presenting the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) budget before the Federation is an insult to the people's mandate.
Speaking at a ceremony in Peshawar, Amir Muqam criticised the KP budget, declaring it based on unrealistic assumptions. He mentioned that sometimes there are talks of marching on Islamabad, threatening to close the dams, or occupying Wapda House. He said that the dams and grid station do not belong to any one party.
Muqam stressed that the public has been misled by such threats for too long. He urged the ruling party to show seriousness. He accused the provincial government of making a mockery of politics in the province.
He further stated that misleading the people will not achieve anything. Despite being given a mandate for the third time in the province, the PTI, which ruled the province for 10 years, has failed to bring considerable investment.
The minister also commented on May 9 and its losses, noting that it remains uncertain how much Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive from the federal government.
The federal minister affirmed that Pakistan belongs to everyone and condemned the past practice of burning utility bills during sit-ins. He reaffirmed his commitment to playing a role in the country's progress.
Also, Muqam promised to prioritise solving the lawyers' problems, acknowledging the crucial role of both the bench and the bar.
